Juliette is an experienced teacher of 11 years. Throughout her university years in the Queens Con-Ed program, she spent summers as a camp counselor. Upon graduation she taught for 11 years at North Toronto Christian School teaching Grade 4 homeroom, Grade 7 & 8 middle school English and Grades 1-5 and Grade 8 core French.
For the last 1.5 years, Juliette and her husband, Brian, and their 2 cats lived in New Brunswick. There she enjoyed the East Coast, including eating lobster, swimming in the ocean, and snowy winters! She also loved her job, in which she was able to work as a settlement counselor with newcomer refugee families and use her French!
Upon returning to Toronto this January, she took both TESL Canada and TESL Ontario courses with the hopes of mixing her love for working with newcomers with her experience in teaching. This has brought her to teach ESL at the MCA summer day camp! Juliette is looking forward to learning alongside her ESL campers and thankful for how, despite life's changes and uncertainties, the LORD continues to lead her step-by-step.
